Now Playing Tracks

thinking

It’s late I should be sleeping.

Instead I am thinking.  Why do people turn away from God in college or in their 20s?  Why do so many people give up?

God never promised it would be easy.  He says there will be trials and tribulation, but don’t fear because He has overcome it all!

No matter what I would never turn my back on God.  He has brought me through too much and done way too much in my life.

This is why I want to please Him.  This is why I want to live a moral life.  Why I have high standards.

It’s just so hard to explain to people who don’t care.

Why is it so difficult for some people to read the bible every day?  Leave it near your bed and it takes 2 seconds to open and read a few verses.  Just doing that will make you stronger. There’s always going to bed, it’s just trying to find the good.  I dk. I’m rambling.  There’s soooo much more going on in my head lately that I’m actually on here…lol.

We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.

With wonderful deathless ditties,
we build up the world’s great cities.
And out of a fabulous story,
we fashion an empire’s glory.
One man, with a dream, at pleasure
can go forth and conquer a crown.
And three, with a new song’s measure
can trample an empire down.

We, in the ages lying,
in the buried past of the Earth,
built Nineveh with our sighing
and Babel itself with our mirth.
And o’erthrew them with prophesying
to the old of the New World’s worth.
For each age is a dream that is dying,
or one that is coming to birth.

Unstoppable Love Project Dance NYC 2014

Our dance!  At first this began simply as a dance about how much God loves us and chases us.  Then I began reading the book Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers and was inspired by some scenes in that which  choreographed into this.  The dance then has become the story of Hosea, as well as the story of our relationship with God.

He pursues us.  We push him away.  He still loves us.  We let things get in the way.  He still chases us. We shut him out.  He keeps trying.  We get ashamed.  He still loves us.
